AirTags Cases and Accessory Reviews
Welcome to 2021 – coming off such a trying 2020, one might hope that 2021 would be a bit more straightforward, make more sense, have some reason to it. Are Apple AirTags Coming Out in 2021?
Everyone is asking us – seemingly daily – when will Apple release AirTags? 2021 is the answer, though the exact launch date is still to-be-determined. Noted research analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, released a report this year outlining his expectations for Apple’s 2021 product releases. Among them, and most importantly to us, is the upcoming release of AirTags. We’re expecting this to be big – question is, when will AirTags be released in 2021? We’ll have to wait and see.

AirTags Rumors: When Will AirTags Be Announced?
Breaking News: Latest AirTags Rumor is that Apple AirTags are being announced on Tuesday December 8th, 2020. Apple AirTags are now expected in 2021 – see Editor’s Note at bottom of article Of course, as with all “rumors,” it’s still very much TBD if this is more of the “the earth is flat” kind of rumor or, well, something reputable. We’ll know for certain tomorrow. What’s the basis of this rumor? Well, Apple releases AppleCare support memos internally, and according to the good folks at MacRumors, one of them says that “something” hardware-related is going to change with respect to AppleCare on 12/8/2020. Still, that could just mean something mundane…

What are the top AirTags competitors?
Add this to the AirTags FAQ as it’s bound to be talked about… What are the main AirTags alternatives? The best, most obvious alternative to AirTags is the Chipolo One Spot (affiliate). It’s sleek, small, and the only tracker to work at launch with Apple’s Find My app and network of iPhones around the world. That means – it’s pretty much the AirTag you’ve been waiting for. Check it out. Apple hasn’t even launch AirTags yet, but the competition is already heating up. We’ve already reviewed Tile’s range of AirTags Competitors, but today we discuss a new and formidable (and… admittedly rumored) entrant: Samsung. EDITOR’S NOTE: This article was written…

Pre-Christmas AirTags Release? Yes Please, Santa!
So file this one in the way of (currently) unverifiable rumors, but noted Apple-rumor-monger-and-random-Twitter-poster L0vetodream has said to expect a “Christmas Surprise.” True, we don’t know A) if this is real, B) who “L0vetodream” is, or C) know what said product-release it’ll be… but we didn’t become the # 1 AirTags Fan Site without hoping beyond hope / daydreaming about AirTags release dates / or even asking Santa! New Day – More AirTag Rumors
Wow, feels like nearly every day (certainly every week!) we get new rumors about Apple’s upcoming AirTags. Today, we get something a bit different – a verifiable rumor. Those are fun. So what’s new? Well, it looks like iOS 14.3 (which was just released to beta testers two days ago) includes code to support third-party tracking devices from within the Find My app. What does this mean? It means that Apple (is probably trying to get ahead of any potential antitrust litigation and…) is considering opening up its integrated Find My tracking platform to AirTags competitors (third-party tracking devices), like Tile, as opposed to restricting Find My to just its…

AirTags Patents – What to Expect from AirTags
While Apple is always tight-lipped on its new and pending products, we were lucky to get a preview of the upcoming AirTags from the US Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”), where Apple has publicly filed for a number of AirTags-related patents. One is Patent Application 20200337162, excitingly titled “MOUNTING BASE FOR A WIRELESSLY LOCATABLE TAG” which was filed September 26, 2019, and just updated last month on October 22, 2020. The “wirelessly locatable tag” is – you guessed it – our much anticipated Apple AirTags. Like most patents, this patent and its related other patents (another one is here – the beautifully named “FASTENER WITH A CONSTRAINED RETENTION RING”) are…

How do AirTags Compare to Tile and other Bluetooth Trackers?
One of the questions we get a lot and that we’ve had ourselves from day one, is how will AirTags compare to the competition? Will AirTags be better at locating missing items than Tile trackers? Are AirTags easier to use? Well, one of the best ways to understand AirTags’ potential is to compare it to the current leader of the pack, Tile. Apple wouldn’t plan on releasing a new product if it wasn’t going to be the best one out there! (some clear failures aside, this has generally been true…) What Are the Technical Differences Between Apple AirTags and Tile Trackers? Native Apple integration – Apple AirTags software / tracking…
