Best AirTag Accessories for Parents with Toddlers

AirTags ($99 for a 4-pack @ Amazon) are known to be amazing for helping you keep track of the most important things in life (AirTags for Bikes, AirTags for Luggage, and even AirTags for Pets). But what if you also want to keep track of the most important people in your life? AirTags will obviously never replace the “eyes on the back of my head” that I use to watch my little-one, but thankfully, there are quite a few great AirTag accessories to help you keep track of your children (and their things), so you can soak up all the joy with a bit less stress.

I don’t think most people would be comfortable sticking an Apple AirTag on a toddler full-time, but wouldn’t it give you a bit of peace of mind to have one snuggly tucked on your little one’s belt loop before his or her first preschool field trip to the zoo or a museum?  I’d have one for my kiddo before we go to the airport next time… I mean, it can’t hurt, and being a parent is stressful enough as-is.  I’m always going to keep a close eye on my kid, but life happens occasionally, and knowing which magazine rack they’re hiding behind in their one-person-game-of-airport-hide-and-seek is, well, sometimes essential.

Here are the top 3 AirTag accessories to help you keep track of your baby or toddler:

  • Moment Curved Surface Mount
  • Every time I go to Disneyland with my toddler I always stress out about her stroller. Not only will I have to leave it unattended by the entrance of the ride, but I also know I’ll have to dig through a pile of identical strollers to find mine. The Moment Curved Surface Mount is the perfect accessory to attach to our stroller. Not only is it discreet, its rugged adhesive backing will make sure it won’t fly off. Simply stick the Moment AirTag Mount to any part of your stroller or your baby carrier, and it’s good to go – even if it’s not completely flat. The Curved Surface Mount is watertight once affixed onto a surface and also has an interior foam lining to prevent the AirTag from rattling or getting scratched. Rest assured, your AirTag inside a Moment case can even handle summertime visits to waterparks. Although this Mount comes with extra adhesive pads for the removal and placement on new surfaces, this is an accessory that’s not made for being switched from object to object easily. If you’re planning on having it stuck onto your stroller or your baby carrier permanently, this will do the trick, but if you only plan on using one AirTag and switch it around when needed, you’re probably better off with a non-stick accessory (see our list of top AirTag loop accessories). Moment’s Curved Surface Mount is available in matte black only.

  • Miroddi Protective Silicone Holder for AirTags
  • Miroddi’s Protective Silicone Holder for AirTags is a great alternative if you plan on changing your AirTag from place to place frequently. The Protective Holder attaches to your preferred object with a carabiner, making it easy for you to switch it from your stroller to your baby carrier, your diaper bag, or even your toddler’s belt loop. Made of soft, sweat-proof and washable silicone, this Holder snugly clasps your AirTag, while keeping its visible face with the Apple logo relatively scratch-resistant with its raised edges. The AirTag is fastened in the Miroddi Holder by the carabiner, which makes placing and removing it very easy. Its snug design makes it very slim and even though it’s hanging, it’s not as dangly as other options. Miroddi’s Protective Silicone Holder is available for purchase in packs of 1 or 4, and comes in a variety of colors such as black, red, dark blue, white, yellow and orange.

  • Apple’s AirTag Loop & Leather Loop
  • Apple’s AirTag Leather Loops are probably the best leather loops on the market (see our top AirTag Loop accessory run-down). Made of specially tanned European leather, this Loop is far more elegant and soft than its polyurethane cousin. Its “loop” designe makes it easy to attach to straps, handles or even other loop-shaped items, making it compatible with strollers, diaper bags, and baby carriers (although it might be a bit too bulky to attach to your toddler’s belt loop). Apple’s Leather Loop has an open design on one side, displaying the beautiful Apple logo while still holding it snugly and protecting the AirTag so that it’s relatively scratch-free. Made with the same design, Apple’s polyurethane version is a cheaper option than the leather, but equally as effective and useful. Although the Leather Loop is definitely more stylish, you won’t lose even a bit of functionality with its other version. Apple has recently updated its Leather Loops colors to now include Baltic Blue, California Poppy (yellow), Forest Green, Saddle Brown and Red, in addition to its original four colors, Sunflower, Electric Orange, Deep Navy, and White.
  • Note that by buying the Red leather AirTag loop, you support Apple’s initiative to benefit the RED foundation for HIV/AIDS and Covid19 relief – Apple’s thus far contributed over $250 million to the partnership.
